ok but for some reason it takes over a day for the posting to get on the site ok the story so far checked float no petrol in it -so ok set float height using about 19inch of head left it there for about 2 hrs and level stayed the same even simulated shaking it as in engine vibration so i think seat is ok. what happens is when trying to start it as i spin over prop fuel just drips out this is with the throttle fully closed it starts and seems rich though if i weaken it it will die just a bit lumpy rev it up and as you increase throttle it seems to hesitate a bit then no problem all the way up to 2200 ish and will sit there no problem however when i close throttle and it ticks over then i turn off the mags engine stops and a few secound later i get a stream coing oput the carb now i recken this is to do with pressures as when throttle is closed we have the largest vacuum or pressure drop dont we so i think this is related what do you think stromberh nas 3a1 might we need a new carb perhaps a zenith , su and what size do you recomend phil
