The Champ has a wing area of approx. 170 sq. ft. & a wing loading of 7.2 #/sq.ft.There are approx. 368 screws/rivets attaching the fabric. this figures out to about 2 screws/rivets per sq.ft. If it is assumed that only the upper fasteners are subject to tensile loading, this is about 7.2 lb. tensile load on each screw/rivet. Tensile strength is not a consideration. Corrrosion resistance should probably be the no.1 concern
